Reconstruction of Banksy’s graffiti on the facade of the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
The work appeared on the rear facade of the Royal Courts of Justice. Like many of Banksy’s interventions, it was made illegally and appeared overnight without any announcement. The choice of location, a courthouse, refers directly to justice, authority and public space.
The graffiti existed only for a short time: the authorities removed it soon after it appeared. As a result, the work survives only in photographs and in public memory. The AR reconstruction returns the image to its original location, so the intervention can be seen again in the place where it once existed.
