About
ARISE.SPACE is a digital territory developed as a grassroots platform. It opens space for site-specific statements in augmented reality, bypassing mechanisms of censorship. It operates at the intersection of street and virtual space, where the forbidden becomes visible and the erased reappears.
Reconstructions of previously erased interventions
In a climate of increasing repression and censorship, the urban landscape becomes a site of erasure, especially for critical visual culture such as graffiti and street art. The current political regime methodically wipes memory clean: scrubbing walls, painting over voices, nullifying anything that does not align with its ideology.
ARISE.SPACE returns erased works to the places where they once existed, as AR layers that can be seen through the screen of a phone, and hosts new interventions that could not physically exist in the same place.
